Once here, you'll have no trouble navigating around the region. There are lots of options for public transportation that include trolley, train, bus, taxi, ferry, or even a limousine. The easiest option is to rent a car, so you can roam freely through the vast and various San Diego regions.

The best ways to get around the downtown area is by foot, pedicab, bicycle, Car2Go, or taxi. While San Diego's mass transit system is still evolving, its main arteries do service the historic Downtown and Old Town areas.

This service provides two-passenger electric Smart cars that users keep for only as long as needed, then drop off pretty much in any legal parking spot within the Car2Go service area.

The community of Hillcrest, San Diego's LGBT neighborhood, has a free trolley service that starts on Normal Street, and follows University Avenue to Fourth Avenue. It runs on Thursday, Friday, and Saturday nights from 6-10pm, and on Sundays from 9am-2pm and provides service to the Hillcrest Farmers Market on Normal Street.
